Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, and discussed in detail the current situation of tension in the Gaza Strip.


According to the Saudi news agency, the two leaders agreed on the need to stop attacks on innocent civilians in Gaza and ensure immediate aid delivery to the besieged.



He also called for access to the war-torn area for medical teams, treatment of the wounded, supply of medicine and an immediate end to the siege of Gaza. Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke to Prince Mohammed bin Salman over the phone.


Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman stressed the need for concrete measures to reduce tensions and prevent the spread of violence in order to avoid dangerous effects of the Gaza war on security and stability in the region and the world. The Saudi crown prince said his country opposes targeting civilians.


He stressed the need to uphold international humanitarian law and stop military operations against civilians and infrastructure and create conditions for lasting peace through the establishment of a Palestinian state.
