Russia and China vetoed the US resolution in support of Israel in the UN Security Council.

A UN Security Council meeting was held on the situation in Gaza, in which the United States presented a resolution in support of Israel, but it failed due to Russia and China's veto.

There were 10 votes in favor of the American resolution, while the United Arab Emirates (UAE) voted against it and Brazil and Mozambique did not participate in the voting process.

The resolution presented by the US did not even condemn the martyrdom of Palestinians.

The Russian delegate blamed the United States for the failure of the resolution, saying that the resolution justified Israeli attacks, and Israel cannot be given free rein in the name of self-defense.

The Russian delegate further said that the US is trying to block the decisions of the Security Council.

The Chinese delegate said that the cease-fire should be on humanitarian grounds, not on political grounds, and unhindered aid should be allowed in Gaza.

The decision of Russia and China was appreciated by the United Arab Emirates.
