The assaults by Pakistan were verified by Iran's official news agency IRNA, which stated that on Thursday, Pakistan launched missile strikes close to the city of Sarwan in southeast Iran, killing seven non-Iranian nationals.
According to IRNA, the Deputy Governor General of Sistan, Ali Reza Marhamati, said that the attack was carried out at 4:05 a.m. local time in which the border village of Iran was targeted.
According to IRNA, Iranian officials say that security officials heard the sounds of multiple explosions in Sarwan.
Another explosion was later heard in the Sarwan area, causing no casualties, officials said.
Sarwan city is 347 kilometers south-east of Zahedan, the capital of the province.
