Test captain Shaun Masood's promotion to PCB central contract

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has upgraded the central contract of Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood to the DCB category.


The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided as part of its policy that if any player on central contract who is below A or B category becomes captain, his contract will be changed to B category till such time. He is captaining.


34-year-old Shaan Masood was appointed the captain of the Pakistan Test team on November 15 and he has been made the captain till the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.


Left-handed batsman Shaun Masood has scored 1597 runs in 30 Test matches and his first assignment as captain is the three-match Test series against Australia starting on December 14.


The first Test of the series will be played in Perth from December 14 to 18.
