Various members of the Senate protested against the approval of the resolution in support of military courts and shouted slogans.

Members opposed to the approval of the resolution did not allow the question period to continue and kept demanding to discuss the resolution.

In the meeting, Senator Sadia Abbasi said that the House will not be allowed to proceed until the resolution approved by the Senate is discussed, while Zarqa Suhrawardy and Senator Kamran Murtaza also insisted on discussing the resolution approved by the Senate.

During the session, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani kept telling the protesting members that they cannot talk in this tone, respect the House, sit on the seat.

Despite the instructions of the Senate Chairman, the meeting was adjourned till Monday as the members continued to protest.

It should be noted that the Senate had unanimously passed the resolution in support of the military courts against the decision of the Supreme Court.

In the previous meeting, Sadia Abbasi had termed the resolution as killing blood on democracy and said that only 12 members were present at the time of approval of the resolution while 92 were absent from the meeting.
