The Islamabad High Court ordered to stop the hearing of the cipher case against Imran Khan in jail.

The government's position during PTI Chairman Imran Khan's cipher case trial at Adiala Jail was challenged intra-court by an appeal heard by the Islamabad High Court's bench of Justices Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb and Thaman Rifat Imtiaz. Salman Akram Raja, Imran Khan's lawyer, and the Attorney General represented the government.

During the hearing, Justice Mian Gul Hassan inquired that we want to know what were the unusual circumstances that this trial is being conducted in this way? You have to tell us what actually happened?

The Attorney General said that I will take the records from all the relevant institutions and place them before the court. On this, Justice Mian Gul Hasan said that in Badi-e-Nazar, the three notifications are not in accordance with the relevant rules of the High Court.

The court asked the Attorney General that when and under what circumstances was it decided that there would be a jail trial? There are a lot of questions that want clarification.

The court went on to state that the jail trial was approved by the federal cabinet two days prior. What factors led to this approval?

Later, after hearing the arguments of the parties, the court issued an injunction on the jail trial of Imran Khan in the cipher case and stopped the hearing of the case in jail.
