In the third match of the ODI World Cup in India, Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 6 wickets.

Bangladesh innings:


Bangladesh's Najamul Hussain Shinto scored the highest 59 runs, Mehdi Hasan Miraz scored 57 runs, Latin Das scored 13 runs, Shakibul Hasan scored 14 runs and Tanzeed Hasan scored 5 runs.


Afghanistan's Fazalul Haq Farooqui, Naveen Haq and Azmatullah Umarzai got one wicket each.


Afghanistan innings:


On behalf of Afghanistan, opener Rehmanullah Garbaz was the top scorer by scoring 47 runs, besides Ibrahim Zadran scored 22 runs, Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 18, 18 and Azmatullah Omarzai scored 22 runs.


Najeebullah Zadran scored 5 runs and Mohammad Nabi returned to the pavilion with 6 runs, Rashid Khan scored 9 runs and Mujeebur Rehman scored only one run. Apart from this, Naveen-ul-Haq and Fazl Farooqui did not get a single run.


Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan and Mehdi Hasan took three wickets each.


Apart from this, Sharaful Islam took two wickets and Tasin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman took one wicket each.


Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl first against Afghanistan, the match was played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.


Speaking on the occasion of the toss, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said that we have to perform well.


Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah said that we are in India and we are excited, playing IPL will benefit us a lot in this match, India is our home ground in a way.


The second match of today's Cricket World Cup is being played between South Africa and Sri Lanka in New Delhi.
