Extension of interim bails of Asad Umar and Chairman PTI's sisters

The court ordered all the accused to be involved in the investigation till the next hearing

The Special Anti-Terrorism Court has extended the interim bails of Asad Umar and Chairman PTI's sisters till November 22 in the May 9 cases.


Judge Arshad Javed of Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore conducted the hearing. Asad Umar, Alima Khan and Uzmi Khan appeared before the court after the interim bail expired.



During the hearing, the investigating officer said that interim bails have been running for two months, but till now the accused have not been investigated and the court is being misrepresented that the investigating officer has not been found. Burhan Muazzam, the lawyer of the accused, took the position that the investigating officer has already declared the accused guilty.


The court extended the interim bail till November 22 while ordering the accused to be involved in the investigation at the next hearing. It should be noted that cases have been registered against Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umar and other accused in connection with the violent incidents of May 9.
