Forecast of heavy rains and snowfall across the country, alert issued
PTMA has directed the district administration to take proactive measures
A new series of rains and strong winds are likely to start in different parts of the country from tomorrow. A letter was issued by PDMA to all district administrations to remain alert.
According to the meteorological department, a new series of rains and strong winds are likely to start in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from tomorrow evening.
Officials say that there is a fear of urban flooding in the low-lying areas due to rains, PDMA has issued an alert till September 30 in view of the fear of stormy winds and rains in the last spell of monsoon.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the
mercury will go up to 40 for the next four days in Karachi. October will be the
warmest as sea breezes cease.
