Rawalpindi: The Election Tribunal approved the nomination papers of Sheikh Rasheed and Ijazul Haque.
The Election Tribunal of Rawalpindi rejected the objections of the Returning Officer on the papers of Ijaz-ul-Haq and his nomination papers were accepted from Constituency NA-55 of Rawalpindi.
The Election Tribunal approved the nomination papers of former Interior Minister and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed from Constituency NA 56 and 57.
On the other hand, former minister Fawad Chaudhry's appeal against the rejection of papers from 2 seats of Jhelum was heard in which the tribunal issued notices to the Election Commission for tomorrow.
Fawad Chaudhry's lawyer took the stand in the tribunal that bogus objections are being raised to keep his client out of the election.
