The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed surprise at this development and said that Piotke has not submitted his resignation to the PCB so far.


Andrew Pyotak from South Africa was appointed by the Pakistan Cricket Board as the batting coach of the Pakistan team for 2 years in May 2023, but after the World Cup, the PCB's new management committee asked him to report to the NCA. Since then he was on leave.


On Wednesday, it was reported that the Afghanistan Cricket Board has appointed Andrew Pyotak as the batting coach, but the Pakistan Cricket Board said that Pyotak did not inform the PCB of his decision, he got this information from the media.


A PCB spokesperson has confirmed that Andrew Piotic has not submitted his resignation to the Pakistan Cricket Board.


Sources say that the new management committee of the PCB had indicated to the foreign coaches that they were not part of their plans but their contracts could not be terminated due to limited options.
