Lahore: Secretary Power took strict notice of load shedding.


According to sources in the Ministry of Energy, the Power Secretary reprimanded LESCO, NTDC and CPP Cell for load shedding, after which the closed power plants up to Rs 50 units were operated on an emergency basis.


According to the sources, the transmission line affected by Lahore Guddu has also returned to the system and from today the quota has been increased to all DISCOs while LESCO, FESCO, MAPCO and GEPCO have been increased by 40%.


According to the sources, after increasing the electricity supply by 40%, the load shedding in Lesko will return to a 2-hour schedule, after which the electricity will now go for one hour in the evening and one hour in the morning.


Sources in the Ministry of Energy further said that diesel plants will also be operated if required.
