List of candidates for minority reserved seats in National Assembly released, PTI out of the race

Islamabad: For the general elections 2024, the Election Commission has displayed the preliminary list of candidates for the seats reserved for minorities in the National Assembly.


In a statement released by the Election Commission, it has been said that the nomination papers of 37 candidates were approved for the 10 seats of the National Assembly.


According to the declaration, appeals against the decisions of the RO related to papers on minority seats can be filed till January 16.


The Election Commission says that the Appellate Tribunal will dispose of the appeals by January 19.


Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has also been out of the race for minority seats due to not getting the election symbol in the light of the Supreme Court's decision.
