In the UK, former West Midlands police officer Rebecca Kalam won a case against sex discrimination.


Former female police officer Rebecca Kalam accused West Midlands Police of gender discrimination during training in 2012, mistreatment by male officers and failure to provide personal protective equipment.


West Midlands Police will pay £820,000 in damages to a former female police officer over gender discrimination by officers if allegations are found at an employment tribunal.



It is believed to be the largest fine of its kind ever imposed on West Midlands Police.
