Sources claim that on January 3, the Muslim League (N) President and former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif will be called before the Faizabad Dharna Commission to provide a statement.
According to sources, Shehbaz Sharif, the former Punjab chief minister, has been called by the commission.
Sources claim that the commission has also created a questionnaire for Shahbaz Sharif concerning the sit-in at Faizabad.
It should be noted that the inquiry commission has to submit its report to the Supreme Court on January 22. Earlier, the commission had also summoned former minister Ahsan Iqbal, former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, while former DGISI Lt. Gen. (retd) Faiz. Hameed did not appear before the commission despite being summoned, on which he has been issued a second notice.
Shehbaz Sharif was the Chief Minister of Punjab on the occasion of Tehreek Labeek's Faizabad sit-in and in November last year, the caretaker government had formed an inquiry commission to implement the court verdict in the Faizabad sit-in case and to identify those responsible.
