Former chief of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General (R) Faiz Hameed did not appear in the Faizabad Dharna Commission today.

According to the sources, the Dharna Commission had earlier called Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Faiz Hameed, but he did not appear, after which a notice was again issued to him.

Sources say that the dharna commission called Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed at 10:30 today but he did not appear again.

According to sources, the Faizabad Dharna Commission is considering the proposal to take a statement from Faiz Hameed through video link.

It should be noted that in November of this year, the caretaker government had formed an inquiry commission to implement the court decision in the Faizabad dharna case and to identify those responsible.

The Faizabad Dharna Commission headed by Dr. Akhtar Shah is working on the orders of the Supreme Court. Former IG Tahir Alam and Additional Secretary Interior Ministry Khushal Khan are included in the commission.

Several officers including former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Fawad Hasan Fawad have appeared before the 3-member commission.
