The holding of general elections in Pakistan has also been made a game. Elections are not made such a problem in any country of the world as the behavior is being adopted in Pakistan. They are not only presenting resolutions by raising the alarm of those who snatched their right to vote from the people under different pretexts, but they have opened a new Pandora's box by passing the resolution of postponing the elections in the Senate.

Under the leadership of Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, the Senate passed the resolution of postponing the February 8 elections in the country by a majority vote. The resolution was moved by Independent Member of the Senate, Dilawar Khan, in which it was said that the weather is extremely cold. Attacks on politicians are also happening and there is a threat alert of terrorism, so the holding of elections on February 8 should be postponed.

It is a funny situation that when this resolution was presented in the Senate session, only 14 members were present in the House and the quorum was not complete. But none of the members of PTI, Muslim League (N) and People's Party participating in the meeting indicated the quorum. At the time of voting, However, after the resolution was presented, Senator Afnanullah of Muslim League (N) made a speech against this resolution and at the time of voting, one member of PTI and People's Party did not participate in the voting. To whom show-cause notices have been issued by their party organizations. After the resolution was approved, a copy of it was sent by the Senate Secretariat to the President, the Prime Minister and the relevant departments, while after the approval of this resolution, another resolution was submitted by Jamaat-e-Islami to the Senate in which the election was timely. It has been requested to hold.

After the resolution passed by the Senate, a resolution has also been submitted to the Senate Secretariat by Senator Mushtaq Ahmed of Jamaat-e-Islami, in which it has been said that the approved resolution regarding the postponement of the elections has been cancelled. To be imagined. Senator Mushtaq took the position that I demand through my resolution that the holding of the election is a constitutional requirement and it is the primary responsibility of the Election Commission and the caretaker government to conduct the election at the appointed time according to the constitution. reminded that there is a decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding the recent election and the Election Commission has also fixed the date that the election will be held on February 8, 2024.

It has not been accepted at any level, including the major political parties, and it should not be accepted, because the only solution to the chaos that the country and the nation are suffering from is the stability of democratic traditions and the existence of an elected government. There are clear orders regarding the conduct of elections, the Election Commission itself has also disapproved of the Senate resolution and said that it will not affect the election schedule. According to the statement released by the Election Commission, no order except the orders of the Supreme Court can affect the election schedule and the general elections will be held on February 8 as announced. It should not be. The Supreme Court Bar Association also rejected the resolution related to the Senate election, calling it illegal and saying that it has no legal status.

Democratic politicians, intellectuals, lawyers and people across the country have expressed a strong reaction to the resolution passed regarding the postponement of the election in the Senate, and the efforts to bring this matter to a logical end have also begun, the Supreme Court said. A petition for contempt of court has been filed against the chairman senate and the relevant senate members in which it has been requested that the resolution passed by the senate be declared illegal and unconstitutional. The position of the petitioner is that the passing of such a resolution by the Senate also falls under the category of contempt of court. Here it is also worth mentioning that the Upper House (Senate) Secretariat has also issued a notification of the approval of the resolution related to the postponement of the election. A copy of which has been sent to the President, Caretaker Prime Minister, Election Commission, Ministry of Law and Justice and other relevant departments. It has been said that in view of the situation in the country, the election schedule should be changed immediately.

On the other hand, operations against terrorists are ongoing in Balochistan, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Mishkai area of Awaran district, in which 5 terrorists were killed, their hideout was destroyed and explosive materials were recovered from there. Similarly, 3 terrorists were killed on the Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur's Bitwar area, who were trying to infiltrate from Afghanistan. The terrorists also had a large amount of arms and ammunition. According to ISPR), Pakistan has demanded the interim government of Afghanistan to fulfill its responsibilities and not allow terrorists to use its territory for malicious activities against Pakistan. The law and order situation in elections must also be taken into consideration.
