Why is power so cute?
photo fileIt is clear that the reckoning of these people will be many times more severe than that of the common man who is holding a position of power in this world. That is why the brother of Khan Abdul Wali Khan and the great Pashto poet Ghani Khan says that:
بادشاہی دجہان سہ کڑے ، زان ولے زیاتے غم
د انصاف تلل مشکل دی، سہ بہ زیات کڑے سہ بہ کم
(Why do you increase grief for yourself by running after the kingdom of the world, (it is difficult for you to escape from it) because weighing according to justice is a very difficult task and you will surely make some mistake in it)
But despite this, our politicians and non-politicians are also dying behind the power. These days it is the election stage and while big leaders are dying to become Prime Ministers and Chief Ministers, lower level leaders are crossing all limits to become MNAs and MPAs. However, the lesson of history is that very few people get out of this pool without being naked.
Don't go away. Look at the recent past. What was the tone of Saddam Hussein's tone? He alone owned the black and white of Iraq. A minor dissenter from him could not survive. He played in the hands of the Americans for a long time for the duration of this power, but then the time came when he was hanged in the hands of the same Americans.
Colonel Gaddafi is another example in front of us. There were autocratic rulers of Libya and some of our religious leaders also used to attend from time to time to benefit from their treasures. He had assigned hundreds of men and women for his protection. There was no dissenting voice against him in the country, but eventually he too was deprived of power by the Americans and then killed by them.
See Afghanistan in your neighborhood. Dr Ashraf Ghani came to power with the support of Americans. He went to extreme lengths to save his power, but he had to flee the country at the hands of the Taliban and the Americans did not help him.
Look at your Pakistan. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was hanged by General Zia. Both sons died unnatural deaths and daughter Benazir Bhutto was killed by terrorists in Pindi.
Mian Nawaz Sharif was deprived of power not once but twice by the army. They have faced the hardships of imprisonment and exile, including their brother, nephews and daughter, but still they are not giving up politics.
Indira Gandhi was a powerful Prime Minister of India but she was killed by one of her Sikh security guards. His son Rajiv Gandhi was killed by a Tamil while another son, Sanjay Gandhi whom he had groomed to succeed him, died in a plane crash.
Take the example of Alexander the Great. He conquered most of the world. The city of Alexandria in Egypt is still named after him, but he died in a grave in a Babylonian hut. His only son was killed in his lifetime while after his death his kingdom was divided among his three generals.
At the end of his life, Alexander the Great, famous for his conquests, said that "I did not want to conquer the world, but death conquered me, and unfortunately I could not find the peace in life that a common man can afford."
The former president of Bangladesh, Zia-ul-Rehman, achieved the position of prime minister with great difficulty, but an army officer, Major General Manzoor, killed him thinking that he would succeed him as the country's chief executive.
Napoleon Bonaparte, who was primarily a military man, first seized power in France, then invaded other countries and at one point conquered the whole of Europe. First, he married a French beauty and then separated from her and married the daughter of the king of Austria, but despite all this, Napoleon Bonaparte used to say in the last days of his life that despair was a crime for me, but today No one is more disappointed. I was hungry for power and love. Government found me but did not support me, while I could not find love in spite of endless search.
The real blessing of Allah is happiness, peace and contentment, but politics and power take away all of them, but I don't know why our people not only live in conflict for it but also sacrifice everything for it.
If Imran Khan had only been a social worker and built hospitals or universities like Shaukat Khanum, people across the country would have loved him. No one, including me, would have disagreed with him and showered love on him, but he was drawn by the attraction of politics and power, so he is in jail today through the Prime Minister's House.
These days the election field is hot. Not everyone wants to become Prime Minister and Chief Minister. Only one prime minister and four chief ministers will be elected, but every politician is in the running. Sacrificing every principle. Sacrificing even blood relations. He is sacrificing religious values, he is flattering and flattering, money is flowing like water, although happiness and peace are not in power and even if one becomes Alexander the Great, he will have to say in the last hours of his life that I have conquered the world. I wanted to, but alas, death overcame me, and alas, I could not find the peace that a common man deserves.
Similarly, if someone becomes Napoleon Bonaparte, then in the last time he will have to say that despair was a crime for me, but today there is no person more disappointed than me.
