Mumtaz, the legendary actress who ruled the Indian film industry in the 60s and 70s, is currently in Karachi where she was a guest on Geo News' program Geo Pakistan.

Mumtaz said that 'I was born in India but my parents are from Iran, my father's friends and relatives used to come to Pakistan, so I thought that I will go to Pakistan one day, so for many years I wanted to go to Pakistan. I want to go to Pakistan and see Pakistan, I am very lucky, people from both sides of Pakistan and India love each other and I am ashamed that I came to Pakistan very late.


The senior actress said that she entered the world of acting at the age of 7 and worked from the age of 7 till the age of 26 and then called it quits due to marriage.

The actress said that 'no one wanted to work with me, Rajesh Khanna and Dilip Kumar were very supportive of working with me. Worked in films with Rajesh Khanna and all the films of both of us have become hits, the songs of all my films have also become hits.


She said that "Pakistan also tried to copy my films but the original is the original and no artist can say which song will be a hit".


On the question of friendship with Pakistani artistes, Mumtaz said, "I have met the legendary singer Noor, she invited me for dinner at home, she used to treat me very lovingly because no one can live without love and when If you speak love to someone, you can conquer the world'.


She said, "I have never refused to give an autograph to anyone in my life."


On the question of watching Pakistani dramas, Mumtaz said that she does not watch any drama, but Pakistani actor Ahsan Khan asked to watch one of his dramas, and he has seen it. Meanwhile, the Indian actress also praised Mahira Khan.
