Pakistan Cricket Board has decided not to take disciplinary action against fast bowler Haris Rauf after receiving the response to the show cause notice.

There will be no demotion in the central contract either, but the selectors and PCB management have made it clear that in future they will have to participate in the domestic first class.

Despite the central contract barring him from playing red ball with a cancellation clause in his contract, the PCB is trying to get Harris to be allowed to play for a departmental team.

He assured the PCB that he would participate in the department's first-class tournament, Haris Rauf was issued NOC by the Pakistan Cricket Board for five matches in 21 days during the Big Bash.

Sources say that Haris Rauf was issued a show cause notice by PCB before giving NOC.

PCB has received a show cause reply in which Harris has admitted that his fitness was not good and hence he was not allowed to play the Test match.

PCB has directed him to play red ball in future, he has reached Australia for the Big Bash but will not play the first match for rest.

Sources say that Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hafeez have given him permission to continue playing cricket and practice matches ahead of the T20 series in New Zealand.

However, when he is not on national duty, he will have to participate in first-class and ODI tournaments.
