Elections should not be postponed based on our petition against ROs: Barrister Gauhar

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that due to the Election Commission's notification regarding ROs, there is a fear of postponement of elections, based on our request against ROs, elections should not be postponed.


Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that the election schedule was supposed to come today but it was not released, the Election Commission should release the schedule.


Chairman PTI said that district officers cannot be made ROs, it can lead to rigging, judges should be made returning officers, so that elections are transparent.


He said that according to the Election Commission, the elections were to be held on February 8, the Election Commission made an excuse for postponing the elections earlier, we went to the Supreme Court and the election was decided on February 8.


Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that the founder PTI is the leader of the most popular party in the country, civilians cannot be tried in military courts, no civilian should be tried in military courts.
