Drape approves registration of anesthesia and anti-cancer drugs

ISLAMABAD: Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has approved the registration of anesthesia injection and anti-cancer drugs.


According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, DRAP approved the registration cases on priority basis, the registration will help in the supply of diabetes, epilepsy and anti-cancer drugs in the market.


The spokesman said that anti-cancer drugs have also been approved for import and local manufacturing, the registration board approved the registration of influenza vaccines, heparin and enoxiparin injections.


According to the spokesman, the registration of the new anti-diabetic drug semaglutide injection has also been approved.


Caretaker Health Minister Nadeem Jan said that they are ensuring uninterrupted supply of life-saving drugs, taking all necessary steps for the availability of life-saving drugs, building pharma parks for the production and promotion of drugs locally.
