Chief Justice returned two luxury official vehicles of his use

A letter has been written to the Cabinet Secretary and Chief Secretary Punjab on behalf of the Registrar Supreme Court.
According to the text of the letter, it has come to the knowledge of the Chief Justice that the Supreme Court had purchased luxury vehicles for the Chief Justice in September 2020 worth Rs. 6 crore 10 lakhs.
The letter states that a brand new bulletproof luxury car was also given to the Chief Justice by the Punjab government, both the cars are parked at the Supreme Court Rest House in GOR Lahore.
The letter further states that according to the rules, 2 vehicles have been given to the Chief Justice and each judge, but Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa is not using these luxury vehicles. That is why the Chief Justice has instructed that both the vehicles should be sold and the money should be spent on public transport.
