At the time of sowing of wheat in Punjab, farmers are forced to buy expensive fertilizers due to artificial scarcity, the agriculture department and the district administration could not rein in urea hoarding and profiteers.

A crisis of urea fertilizer has arisen all over Punjab, a bag of fertilizer is being sold for Rs 5200 instead of Rs 3750.

Farmers say that dealers and stockists are selling fertilizer in black by justifying artificial shortage, inflation has already doubled, why are institutions silent on fertilizer crisis.

According to the farmers, the government had claimed that by increasing the production of wheat, they would not only achieve self-sufficiency this year, but surplus wheat would also be exported, but this claim seems to be reversed. Till December 15, the fertilizer that is given to wheat first with water is not available. Farmers are very worried, they fear that the yield per acre will be very low.

On the other hand, caretaker agriculture minister Punjab has said that the dealers and distributors are doing bad deeds on purpose, the distributor who is caught blacking urea will have his license revoked and will be arrested while the caretaker home minister Sarfaraz Bugti called this crisis artificial. Declared.

Farmers say that the price of urea fertilizer has gone up, it has gone from Rs 2500 to Rs 5200 in one year. The management is not heeding the verbal claims, if this continues, it will not be possible to fertilize the wheat crop again, which will adversely affect the productivity.
