Maryam Moshiri, the news anchor who made the inappropriate gesture at the start of the live broadcast, apologized for her actions and offered an explanation.


A video of Maryam Moshiri, a news anchor associated with a British news agency, has gone viral on social media, in which she was making obscene gestures with her finger at the start of a live broadcast.


As soon as Maryam realized she was live, she immediately lowered her hand and greeted the audience.


After the video surfaced, social media users were heavily criticizing the anchor, after which Maryam Moshiri apologized with an explanatory message on social media site X and explained the entire incident, which was actually a personal joke which Appeared on the screen by mistake.


Maryam wrote in the tweet that I was sitting in the control room joking with my team, when the countdown started for the start of the live broadcast, I was counting on my fingers that we went on air.


According to the female anchor, she soon realized that she was live, at which point she immediately pulled her hand away and started reading headlines about former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.


Maryam further said that before going live on TV, she and her team were joking but at the very last moment some part of the joke went on live TV.


The news anchor described his joke as stupid and also wrote that I apologize to all those who were hurt by my actions.
