Virat KohliIndia wrapped up victory by defeating Sri Lanka by the second biggest margin of the World Cup today, but in the meantime, former Indian captain Virat Kohli has written his name in history by breaking Sachin Tendulkar's world record.
Virat Kohli has scored 1000 runs this year too and has won this honor for the eighth time and he has become the first batsman in the world to achieve this feat, while before him Sachin Tendulkar scored 1000 runs in a year. Had set a record of making it seven times, which has been shattered by Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli has done this feat of scoring 1000 runs in a year seven times, which he did in the years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, now once again in the World Cup match against Sri Lanka. I have set this record for the eighth time by completing 1000 runs this year. Before him, Sachin Tendulkar has won this honor in 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2007.
