OpenAI to consider reinstatement of ousted chief executive
Sam Altman/Reuters PhotoOn November 17, OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, fired Sam Altman as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
But now a report has revealed that the company is once again considering bringing him back as CEO.
OpenAI's Board of Directors has announced the removal of Sam Altman from his position.
At the time, the company said in a statement that Sam Altman was being removed from the position because the board did not trust the decisions made by him.
But this new report cites sources close to Sam Altman as saying that the board is considering reinstating the one-time former CEO.
After Sam Altman was fired, several company executives, including president Greg Brockman, resigned in protest.
More people working in this company are likely to quit.
After Sam Altman was ousted, a woman named Meera Murthy has been made the interim CEO of the company.
Amazingly, Sam Altman was informed of the decision just 5 to 10 minutes before the firing.
According to some reports, Sam Altman may now introduce a new artificial intelligence (AI) company.
