Islamabad: The court handed over former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, who was arrested yesterday, to the police on two-day remand.


Fawad Chaudhry was brought to the court of Duty Judge Abbas Shah at the District Judicial Complex with a cloth on his face and handcuffs.


In the court, Fawad Chaudhry took the position that I should be allowed to meet my lawyers, on which the learned judge allowed Fawad Chaudhry to meet the lawyers.

During the hearing, the police requested the court to give physical remand of Fawad Chaudhry for 5 days.


A case has been registered against Fawad Chaudhry in Abpara police station of Islamabad, in which the petitioner has registered a case against Fawad Chaudhry for getting a job by taking 50 lakh rupees.


The plaintiff said, "Fawad Chaudhry became bitter over the demand of money, on which he threatened to kill me."


Fawad Chaudhry said in the court that I have never seen the plaintiff, our situation is in front of you and us, I am a former federal minister and Supreme Court lawyer, should not be insulted.


They said that there is no bathroom where the remand is being taken, I should be given the bathroom facility and allowed to meet the children.


The court handed over Fawad Chaudhry to the police on 2-day remand and ordered that Fawad Chaudhry be allowed to meet his family and undergo a medical examination.
