Leader of Muslim League-N Nawaz Sharif has reacted to Islamabad High Court's acquittal in the Avenfield reference.

Nawaz Sharif while talking to the media in the Islamabad High Court said that 'matters were left to Allah, Allah has taken the lead'.

Leader of Muslim League-N Nawaz Sharif further said that the Al-Azizia reference issue is also left to Allah.

It should be noted that the Islamabad High Court has acquitted Nawaz Sharif in the Avenfield reference by annulling his sentence.

The Islamabad High Court heard Nawaz Sharif's appeals against the conviction in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references, in which the former prime minister's lawyer argued that the NAB had to prove that Nawaz Sharif had paid for the purchase of the properties, the most important thing being that There is a question of ownership of the properties, there is neither verbal nor documentary evidence that these properties were ever owned by Nawaz Sharif, there is no evidence of Nawaz Sharif's custody of the children, all these things have to be proved by the prosecution, there is no evidence. That the properties remain in the ownership or custody of Nawaz Sharif.

On the arguments of Amjad Parvez, Chief Justice Amir Farooq asked that this is all the work of the prosecution? On this, Amjad Parvez said that yes, all this has to be proved by the prosecution, the court wrote a general sentence instead of evidence in the verdict, the court said that Maryam Nawaz was the beneficial owner and was also a guarantor of Nawaz Sharif. The court said that children are generally under the custody of the father.

After the arguments of Amjad Parvez were completed, the court gave a brief judgment in the case and acquitted Nawaz Sharif by declaring the sentence awarded in the Avenfield reference null and void.

On the other hand, NAB also withdrew the appeal against the acquittal of Nawaz Sharif in the flagship reference.

It should be noted that the Accountability Court had sentenced Nawaz Sharif to 10 years imprisonment in the Avenfield reference.
