Lahore: MQM and (N) League agreed on a joint election strategy and announced to fight the election together.


On the invitation of former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the delegation of MQM headed by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui met the leader of Muslim League (N) Nawaz Sharif in Raiwand.


Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal were included in the MQM delegation, while Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Pervaiz Rasheed also participated in the meeting from the (N) League side.


According to the sources, in this meeting of more than an hour, the general elections, electoral alliance and the current political situation were discussed, while they also talked about how to rescue Pakistani citizens from their dire economic situation.


According to MQM sources, Nawaz Sharif supported MQM's position on the dire situation of Sindh, census and constituencies.
