More than 300 Americans have left Gaza so far: White House confirms

The White House confirmed the withdrawal of more than 300 Americans from Gaza.


White House Deputy National Security Adviser Jonathan Finer said during a TV show that more than 300 American citizens have left Gaza so far, but many American citizens are still trapped in the area.


"After negotiations between all parties to the conflict over the last several days, we can now say that another 300 American citizens, including legal permanent residents and their families, may leave Gaza soon," he said.


Jonathan Finer said that the White House believes that there are still a significant number of American citizens in Palestine.


The US adviser added that the US authorities are working hard to free the hostages held by Hamas.


Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken said that about 400 US citizens and their families wanted to leave Gaza, bringing the total number to around one.
