Pakistan will continue to aim for 9,415 billion in taxes annually, as agreed upon by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).


Policy-level talks between Pakistan and the IMF are ongoing. According to the sources, the IMF has agreed to maintain the annual tax target of 9415 billion, after which the mini budget will not come.


FBR sources said that the caretaker government will not impose any new tax, the IMF has been informed.


The IMF has reportedly received the written plan for reaching the tax objective of Rs 9415 billion, and the IMF has been guaranteed that the revenue target will be met together with the removal of tax evasion from the real estate industry. Sure thing.


According to sources, the IMF was given the assurance that tax authorities would enhance administrative procedures to raise tax income, and there is also a strategy to raise the tax net through economic documentation.


According to the FBR officials, the annual 9415 billion rupees tax target will be easily achieved, all the targets for the first 4 months of the financial year have been met.
