A fire broke out in a private shopping mall located on Rashid Minhas Road in Karachi on Saturday morning. In the case filed by the government, K Electric has also been named along with the mall management, the builder, the map approval officer and the fire brigade.
In the case, the provisions of culpable homicide, negligence and damages have been added.
According to the FIR, the layout of the building was approved illegally, the building did not have fire extinguishers and emergency exit.
Also, K Electric and Fire Brigade issued NOC despite faulty material, hence they were also named in the suit.
