It has not been officially announced by Meta, but WABetaInfo reports that the new feature has been rolled out for iOS users.


Initially available in the beta version, this feature is now generally accessible.


Users will be able to link their email address to their WhatsApp account with this new functionality.


Although it won't replace SMS verification, this functionality will come in handy for those who can't get the 6-digit code by SMS.

The user's email address won't be shown to other users and will only be used to access the account.


How to use the feature?

To access this function, iPhone users must upgrade WhatsApp.
