How did you get them out?

Examining the past's hidden defects is also necessary if the democratic foundation of the future is to be reinforced. We will have to see why and how Mian Sahib and Khan Sahib were expelled, how similar and how different is the expulsion of both of them? When he left the government, he kept saying why did he expel me? When Khan left the government, he kept blaming General Bajwa. There is one thing in common in the expulsion of both of them, however, that both of them left during the period of General Bajwa, My Lords' shoulder was used to expel Mian Sahib and Khan Sahib was sent away through distrust by his opponents.

Many issues regarding the removal of Mian Sahib are still behind the scenes. In fact, Mian Sahib's affairs had deteriorated with General Raheel Sharif, although General Raheel Sharif was appointed very carefully. The four or five senior generals whom General Raheel Sharif appointed as his advisor while becoming the Army Chief were all against Mian Sahib and these advisors used to provoke General Raheel Sharif every day. When the head of a Gulf country promised to present a $600 million ship to General Raheel Sharif as a gift, Mian Sahib forbade General Raheel Sharif not to take this ship, but Raheel Sharif did not accept this. The Prime Minister wrote a formal letter to his secretary in this regard, but General Raheel Sharif ordered this ship. The second incident happened that during his visit to Saudi Arabia, when Mian Sahib met King Sulaiman, he was suddenly told that General Raheel Sharif would be the head of the proposed Islamic Army.

The prime minister was very shocked that he did not even know, he was kept in the dark and this decision was made at the top. The situation was such that Mian Sahib had to say yes immediately, he did not get time to think or advise. The third incident happened that the meeting of the Pakistani delegation with the Saudi Defense Minister was scheduled without informing the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, but rather hiding it from them, General Raheel Sharif was made the head of the delegation. When the Prime Minister found out, he told Khawaja Asif that no, you will head the delegation and then it happened. The last dispute was the extension of General Raheel Sharif's term of office. General Raheel sent several messengers, but Mian Sahib did not agree to the extension, although he was also given a message that the Panama issue would be resolved.

Mian Sahib did not agree to the extension and brought General Bajwa. General Bajwa was in the beginning a supporter of Mian Sahib and was against General Raheel Sharif and his advisors. He had regularly spoken openly about his support in the sit-in, telling me that General Raheel Sharif had made a mistake by taking the plane. General Bajwa had said in the case of Panama that I will not come into it, otherwise he wanted those responsible for Don Leaks to be removed from the government. Things got worse with General Bajwa on Dawn Leaks. It is said that Dar Sahib consulted Bajwa Sahib and asked Fawad Hasan Fawad to issue the letter, When the letter was issued, Bajwa also tweeted and got angry. Later, an attempt was made to correct the issues, but then it could not be managed and Mian Sahib was disqualified with the mutual cooperation of the institutions and the Lords.

Khan Sahib was brought to power by General Bajwa and the rest of the establishment colleagues with great enthusiasm, after the departure of Nawaz Sharif, all the weight was put in Khan Sahib's lap. In the 2018 election, Muqtadara defeated Noon with full force and Tehreek-e-Insaf won. When Khan Sahib came to power, General Bajwa was very supportive of him in the beginning. Warnings were given to those who criticized Khan Sahib in the media, but then the situation started to change. General Asim Munir was removed from the ISI, so it was Khan Sahib's first big decision regarding the army that was implemented, but bitterness spread in a circle.

While General Bajwa and his associates were unhappy with the governance of Buzdar and Mehmood Khan, negative reports of Gogi and Pinki Pirni also reached them. General Bajwa initiated the first criticism of Khan Sahib in his inner circle, one point being that he does not listen to anything other than accountability and his own praise General Bajwa wanted that a matter should be settled with the opposition as well. The second point of his criticism was that the economy was suffering from a dire situation. In the last six months of Khan Sahib's government, General Bajwa started saying that it was a big mistake to bring in Khan Sahib. Now it has to be treated. During this time, General Bajwa continued to send letters and messages to Shehbaz Sharif through Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, but General Bajwa remained hesitant about removing Khan Sahib until the end.

Bilawal Bhutto has told that in the last days of the no-confidence motion, General Bajwa had given a message to withdraw the no-confidence motion, but the PDM did not follow his advice. The real fight between Khan Sahib and Muqtadara's decision-makers was the resistance to the removal of General Faiz Hameed, It is said that General Bajwa ordered this transfer after consulting Khan Sahib, but despite this, when the ISPR announced the transfer, it was not implemented, thus increasing the rancor.

Asad Umar, Pervaiz Khattak and Chaudhry Fawad wanted that General Bajwa and Muqtada should not be offended under any circumstances, so they succeeded in making General Nadeem Anjum the head of ISI by putting pressure on Khan Sahib but the bitterness that had arisen during that time could never be healed.

When the both Prime Ministers left power, both of them adopted anti-authoritarian narratives, Mian Sahib spoke of 'respecting the vote', held General Bajwa and General Faiz responsible for the abuses that happened to them. On the other hand, Khan Sahib continued his stance of not forgiving his political opponents along with the anti-authoritarian narrative. Mian Sahib definitely adopted an aggressive narrative against Muqtadara but did not close the doors of negotiations. When the issue of General Bajwa's extension came up, he went against his own narrative and gave him an extension, Khan Sahib could not show this flexibility, if he was angry with Muqtadara, he would move forward until May 9. Flexibility is essential in politics. If Khan Sahib wants to ease difficulties, open the door to negotiations.
