ISLAMABAD: The Caretaker Federal Government has taken important steps for cases of enforced disappearances.


The federal cabinet has approved the 3-member ministerial committee headed by caretaker interior minister Sarfraz Bugti, which the ministry of law and justice has also issued a notification.


The federal cabinet approved the three-person committee on November 7. The interior minister, law minister, and defense minister will serve as the committee's members, and the committee will handle cases of enforced disappearances, according to a notification filed by law ministry officials with the Islamabad High Court.


Apart from this, the committee can also seek assistance from human rights organizations.
