According to Indian media, a musical concert of famous Bollywood singer Nikita Gandhi was organized in Cochin University of Kerala state.
The concert was held in the university's open auditorium, which had a capacity of 1,000 to 1,500 students, and only concert ticket holders were allowed to enter, the administration said.
It is being told that the situation worsened when it started raining suddenly and at the same time the students started running from the steps of the auditorium.
According to the administration, 2 male and 2 female students died due to the stampede while around 60 students were also injured.
According to media reports, the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital where the condition of 4 students is said to be critical.
On the other hand, the singer expressed deep sorrow over the death of the students and prayed for patience for the bereaved.
It should be noted that actress Nakhita Gandhi has sung famous songs like 'Burj Khalifa', 'Kafrana', 'Nah Jaa' while the singer has performed her vocal magic in actor Salman Khan's new film Tiger 3.
