Feeders closed due to rain in Sanghar, Nawabshah, Umarkot, Tharparkar districts: HESCO Spokesperson/File Photo

After the rain in Hyderabad and nearest areas, the electricity system was disrupted.

Yesterday evening, at two o'clock, the rain began, and some places lost power. However, after more than eleven hours, the electricity could not be restored in most of the areas.

A representative for Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) stated that 40 of the 131 feeders in the Hyderabad area now have power, while 91 of the feeders are still blocked.

There are 603 feeders in total in 14 districts of the Hesco region; 286 of those feeders have lost electricity as a result of rain in various districts of the Hesco region, according to the spokesman. The feeders will only be restored after receiving clearance.

A HESCO spokeswoman claims that the rain in the areas of Sanghar, Nawabshah, Umarkot, and Tharparkar has caused feeders to close.
