Caretaker government does not have mandate to review laws made by previous government: Raza Rabbani

Senior leader of Pakistan People's Party Senator Raza Rabbani has said that the caretaker government does not have the mandate to see such laws which were passed by the previous government.


Senator Raza Rabbani, on the attention notice in the Senate, declared the formation of the Cabinet Committee by the Caretaker Prime Minister against the Constitution.


He said that the caretaker government thinks that it will bulldoze the Supreme Court and Parliament.



On the other hand, caretaker Parliamentary Affairs Minister Murtaza Solangi said that the Cabinet Committee was formed under the Rules of Business.


He said that this committee is not for legislation but is related to rule making.


Murtaza Solangi said that it is the authority of the government to bring ordinances, emergency legislation is allowed, they want the legislation to be not above the constitution and the law.
