A train derailed in the Indian state of Bihar, resulting in the death of 4 people.


According to a report by Times of India, a train coming from Delhi to Anand Vihar Terminal Railway Station derailed near Kamakhya Junction in Assam on Wednesday, killing four people and injuring several others.


East Central Railway General Manager Tarun Prakash said that 21 coaches of the train derailed after the accident, after which the rescue operation was started.


According to the report, the cause of the accident is not yet known, however, an investigation has been started in this regard.


Later, Indian Railways Minister Oshoni Vishnu said in a statement on social media platform X that rescue operations at the accident site have been completed.


In his statement, he expressed regret for the loss of life as a result of the accident and also announced an investigation into the accident.


It should be remembered that the worst train accident took place in the Indian state of Odisha in June this year, as a result of which at least 288 people were killed.
