If Nawaz Sharif does not appear on October 24, the warrant will be restored, Judge Accountability Court

The Accountability Court of Islamabad on the request for protective bail against the leader of Muslim League (N) and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Tosha Khana reference was pronounced safe.


The Accountability Court has suspended the permanent warrant of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif till October 24.


Judge Muhammad Bashir while giving a safe verdict remarked that if Nawaz Sharif does not appear on October 24, the warrant will be restored.


Application for suspension of warrant


It may be recalled that on Wednesday, the lawyers of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif filed an application for his protective bail in the Tosha Khana case in the Accountability Court, requesting the suspension of his perpetual warrant.


The accountability court had issued a notice to NAB on the application filed by Nawaz Sharif's lawyers.


Hearing


On Thursday, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the former prime minister's bail plea while Nawaz Sharif's lawyer Qazi Misbah and NAB prosecutor appeared in the court.


Lawyer cleaning


During the hearing, the lawyer Safai Qazi Misbah said that Nawaz Sharif had gone abroad 4 months before the reference was filed, he wants to appear before the accountability court, suspend the warrant so that there is a way to come to the court.


Lawyer Safi said that the trial against Nawaz Sharif in the accountability court is still at the initial stage, the appeal stage is going on in other cases.


Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir inquired whether other accused have been arrested in the case. On which the lawyer Safi said that no, no one has been arrested in this case.


Judge Muhammad Bashir inquired that what is the status of Asif Zardari and other accused in the case? On which lawyer Safai said that Asif Zardari and others are appearing in court through a representative.


Lawyer Safai said that he will give arguments in detail on October 24, Nawaz Sharif will reach Pakistan on October 21 and he should be allowed to appear.


NAB prosecutor did not object


During the hearing, the NAB prosecutor said that Nawaz Sharif has sought 2 reliefs in the application, he is saying that he wants to surrender before the court.


It was said by the prosecutor that "if Nawaz Sharif wants to come, then suspend the warrant till October 24".


Later, after hearing the arguments of the parties, the accountability court reserved its decision on the application for protective bail.
