The Health Department has issued an advisory on the increasing flu virus in Karachi

People suffering from the flu should stay at home for at least 24 hours until the fever subsides, cover the nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing: the Department of Health appeals to the public

A health caution regarding the rising flu virus in Karachi has been released by the Sindh Health Department.


According to the Department of Health, people are suffering from cold, cough and fever due to the new influenza virus.Children, elderly individuals, and pregnant women may be particularly susceptible to the infection.


Hospitals that house infected patients must keep them segregated, per health department orders.


The Sindh Health Department appealed to the public to cover their nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing, wash their hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap or hand wash.


The health agency advised eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, staying physically active, and avoiding touching the mouth, nose, or eyes.


According to the Health Department, individuals with the flu should stay at home until their fever has subsided, making sure that closed areas have adequate ventilation. This recommendation applies for at least 24 hours.
