The caretaker government has made the first hike in the prices of petroleum products

The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 8 and the price of high speed diesel by Rs 11, Ministry of Finance

Petroleum products prices decrease 

The caretaker government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, giving relief to the public after a three-fold increase since its establishment.


According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been reduced by 8 rupees, after which the new price of petrol has become 323.38 rupees.



According to the notification, the price of high speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 11, after which the new price of high speed diesel has been fixed at Rs 318.18.


Apart from this, the prices of light diesel and kerosene have not been changed and their prices have been maintained.


According to the Ministry of Finance, the reduction in the prices of petroleum products is due to the decline in the global market and the falling value of the dollar.


According to the Ministry of Finance, the change in the prices of petroleum products has been applied for the next 15 days from 12 pm tonight.


It should be noted that on August 16, caretaker Prime Minister Anwara Haq Kakar increased the price of petrol by 17.50 rupees per liter, at that time the price was 272 rupees to 290 rupees. On September 2023, the caretaker government increased the price by Rs 14.91, after which the price of petrol increased from Rs 290 to Rs 305.


It should be noted that on the night of September 15, the caretaker government unexpectedly increased the price of petrol by Rs. 26.02 and the price had increased from Rs. 305 to Rs. 331.38.
