Promotion of Sarfaraz Ahmed in Central Contract
PCB has added 5 more cricketers to the central contract
PCBFormer captain Sarfraz Ahmed has been promoted to the central contract, PCB has changed the category from D to B, 5 more players have been added to the central contract.
PCB has issued a declaration of change in the central contract, according to which the 5 cricketers who have been included in the central contracts are Abrar Ahmed (C category), Nauman Ali (C category), Tayyab Tahir (D category), Aamir Jamal (D category) and Arshad Iqbal (D category) are included.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has also changed the category of former captain and first choice wicket keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed in the central contract and added him to the B category from D.
It may be remembered that Sarfraz Ahmed made a comeback in the Test team last December and since his return he has scored 367 runs in 4 Test matches at an average of 61.16.
Sarfraz Ahmed won the player of the series award by scoring a century and 3 half-centuries in 4 innings of the home series against New Zealand.
C-category mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed has taken 38 wickets in 6 matches since his debut against England, while Noman Ali has taken 17 wickets in 4 Test matches in the last 12 months.
