Pakistan Railways recorded 17% increase in revenue
Implementation of ERP in Railways improved financial performance, Federal Minister
Pakistan RailwaysFederal Minister of Railways Shahid Ashraf Tarr has said that the 17% increase in the revenue of passenger and freight trains has been a record increase.
According to the details, a meeting of Pakistan Railways was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Railways Shahid Ashraf Tarar, in which the performance, operational and administrative issues of Pakistan Railways were reviewed.
Shahid Ashraf Tarar said that the Rawalpindi Railway Station Commercialization Action Plan should be presented soon with the timeline, the commercialization project of the railway station will be completed in phases.
The federal minister said that the implementation of ERP in the railways has improved the financial performance of the railways, to increase the fuel efficiency in the railways, the online fuel management system should be implemented on a priority basis.
Shahid Ashraf Tarar appreciated the railway team for achieving 17% increase in revenue of passenger and freight trains. In the meeting, it was also decided to construct executive toilets on BOT basis at all category AK railway stations.
