Finnish telecom company Nokia has announced more job cuts to cut costs.

According to reports, Nokia currently has 86,000 employees worldwide, while the company has cut thousands of jobs since 2015.

According to foreign media, the company has recently made a new plan to cut 9,000 to 14,000 jobs by the end of 2026 to cut costs.

The plan comes after a 20 percent drop in sales of the products between July and September.

The technology firm said the move is part of efforts to save up to 1.2 billion euros over a three-year period.

"The most difficult business decisions are those that affect our people, we have extremely talented employees and we will support every employee affected," said Pekka Lundmark, Nokia's president and chief executive.
