Major progress in implementation of Supreme Court, Practice and Procedure case judgments
Appeals in all cases under Article 184 III shall be filed as intra-court appeals
SCPGreat progress has been made in the implementation of the decision of the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure case.
In view of the decision of the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill case, an official circular was issued by the Registrar Supreme Court.
According to the circular, appeals in all cases under Article 184-3 will be filed as intra-court appeals. It should be noted that the appeals against the NAB amendment decision have not yet been allotted numbers. The process of numbering of appeals will begin after the circular issued by the Registrar's Office.
It should be noted that two weeks ago, the Full Court Bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected the petitions filed against the Chief Justice by upholding the Practice and Procedure Act.
Under the law, the bench will not be formed by the Chief Justice alone, but the Chief Justice will announce the bench only after consultation with his two most senior brother judges. This law was passed by the PDM government in parliament, various petitions were filed against this law.
