The Supreme Judicial Council has issued a show-cause notice to Supreme Court Justice Mazahir Naqvi.
It should be remembered that Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa called a meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council on the issue of complaints of misconduct against judges in the Supreme Court.
A meeting chaired by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa on Friday considered the pending complaints against the judges of the High Court.
According to sources, Chief Justice Lahore High Court Amir Bhatti and Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan also attended the Supreme Judicial Council meeting.
According to the sources, the Supreme Judicial Council has issued a show cause notice to Justice Mazahar Naqvi in the meeting.
A reference was filed against Justice Mazahir by the Pakistan Bar Council over the alleged audio leak.
It should be noted that apart from the Chief Justice of Pakistan, the members of the Supreme Judicial Council include Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Ejazul Hassan.
