IG Punjab summoned on November 3 on Khadija Shah's contempt of court petition

Renowned fashion designer Rahat Bakery was sent to jail on judicial remand in the case of arson outside the bakery

The Lahore High Court has summoned the Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police on November 3 on the contempt of court petition filed by the famous fashion designer Khadija Shah against the police officers.


Justice Ali Baqir Najafi of Lahore High Court heard Khadija Shah's contempt of court petition.


The petitioner submitted that the police provided the details of the cases against Khadija Shah and told that two cases were registered against her while in the third case she was arrested again, the police officers misrepresented in the court.


It was requested on behalf of the petitioner that the court should take contempt of court action against the police officers.


The court summoned IG Punjab for the next hearing.


On the other hand, the anti-terrorism court of Lahore sent Khadija Shah to judicial remand in the case of arson outside Rahat Bakery on May 9 and rejected the police's request for physical remand.
