Ciphercase, witness Sohail Mehmood also opened the depths
Despite opposition, a Cabinet meeting the next day approved the "declassification" of the crucible
The statement of former foreign secretary Sohail Mehmood as a witness in the cipher case also opened the fortress of the cipher narrative of the former prime minister.
The witness said that the cipher came on March 7th, it was waved on March 27th, the cipher was read out to me at the gala on March 28th and it was made a part of the meeting minutes.
As a witness, former Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood said in a statement that no cipher telegram can be "declassified", doing so could adversely affect the cipher security system, yet the former prime minister declassified the cipher in a cabinet meeting on April 8. Asked to classify, I strongly opposed as Foreign Secretary, and Secretary Cabinet Division and Secretary Law. Due to which the Cabinet could not approve the cipher to be "declassified".
The former prime minister again convened a cabinet meeting on April 9, the last day of his tenure, after which approval was given to "declassify" the cipher.
According to Sohail Mehmood, Asad Umar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Azam Khan were also present in this meeting. Copies of the cipher were sent to the President, Chief Justice, Speaker National Assembly, Chairman Senate.
As a witness, the former foreign secretary says that the American coordinator of affairs sent a copy of the cipher waved by PTI chairman. I do not see the former Prime Minister's statement in the United States in a good light.
The statements of the witnesses in the cipher case narrowed the circle around the chairman PTI.
